We, at Healthy Soil, Food & People, commit ourselves to provide all our customers with safe, highest quality, hygienically processed food products.

This will be done consistently by:

  • Systematic monitoring of work procedures against laid down standards from its Receiving stage to final Delivery stage.
  • Eliminating/minimizing all possible physical, chemical, and microbiological contamination at the earliest possible stage.
  • To ensure that the necessary statutory and regulatory requirements towards the Food Safety System are distinctly met.
  • Maintaining high standards of hygiene in Transportation, storage, and Personnel.
  • Creating awareness among all employees and stakeholders on Food Safety.
  • Strict system adherence and taking every step towards implementation and compliance of Food /Feed Safety Management System (ISO 22000:2018) effectively to improve continually.

Our Visitor Policy:

  • All visitors to the Healthy Soil, Food & People must wear mask and clean clothes when entering the premises.
  • Hands must be sanitized thoroughly.
  • No eating, drinking, smoking, chewing gum or tobacco, spitting, or using medication is allowed in the store area, Production area, Quality control Area.
  • The lunch shall be taken only in the designated area.
  • Anyone that has or shows symptoms of a disease or illness that can be transmitted through food, is not allowed inside.
  • Anyone with a cut or open wound must cover the area.
  • All visitors must be accompanied by an employee. This employee will ensure that visitors follow the company’s personnel practices.
  • All visitors must not touch any material without permission of Healthy Soil, Food & People’s Employees.

Hygiene Policy / Plan
Personnel Practices

  1. Wearing jewellery like Necklace, Bangles, earrings, wristwatches etc. inside the food production area is prohibited with theexception of one wedding ring.
  2. Keep your nails small and clean.
  3. Wear neat and clean clothes, clean clothing is required for starting the workday.
  4. To keep personal belongings like magazines, books, purses etc. in the lockers/ designated area before entering the food manufacturing area.
  5. Every time a person is to enter the Production area, he / she should wash hands with soap and dry throughout the day including situations like coming from the toilets, returning from lunch, after snacks or breaks.
  6. Tobacco, Pan-masala, Bidi, Cigarette, Chewing Gum, chocolate, and other such similar items are not permitted in the entire factory premises.
  7. Edibles or medicines are not permitted in the food manufacturing facility.
  8. No materials should be carried above waist level. Pens, pencils etc should be carried in pockets or carriers on the belt or trousers. Do not carry pencils or anything behind your ears.
  9. Lunch boxes are not permitted in the production area and are to be kept at the specified area.
  10. Employees are permitted to have lunch in the Lunchroom only.
  11. All employees to inform their respective HOD, HRD and Security about any wounds, burns, cuts etc.
  12. All employees to inform their respective Dept., HRD and Security about any of the following diseases –
    Dehydration, Loose Motions, Conjunctivitis, any other Infections or Communicable Disease.
  13. For sanitation and safety purposes, keep your work area clean.
  14. Keep your moustaches properly trimmed.
  15. Keep your moustaches& beard covered with a mask.
  16. Always wear a head cap while in the production area.

Glass Policy – Plan

  • No glass or brittle plastic objects shall be used in production areas, material movement paths and warehouses except where necessary, also No glass or brittle objects shall be brought into the facility by employees and external agencies.
  • Any glass or brittle plastic objects used in production areas, material movement paths and warehouses will be suitably protected so that in case or breakage, they do not spill out and contaminate raw materials, semi-finished goods and finished goods.
  • Lightning fixtures / Brittle Plastics should, wherever appropriate, to protect to ensure that product is not contaminated by breakages.
  • Cleaning and replacement of glass and brittle plastic objects shall be done in a manner to minimize chances of product contamination.
  • Do not use glass tumblers / china clay cup saucers for drinking tea/water inside the above working areas. Use Stainless steel/Unbreakable mugs.
  • Visit shall be carried out daily to determine breakages of glass and brittle plastic objects used in factory premises. Damages, if any, shall be documented in the glass register.
  • Use of clocks, wrist watches, Jewellery, glass cutleries, adornments and any other personal belongings / items of glass is not permitted during the production of food related products.
  • Procedures for inspection, cleaning and replacing glass objects shall be explained to all employees. Awareness and necessity of Glass Policy shall be a part of the orientation program for all new employees.
  • Electric flying insect monitors / killers shall be installed ensuring that they are placed at least 6-8 feet away from exposed product on a production or packaging line, so as to minimize the risk arising out of a breakage of its glass lights tubes. The light tubes of the Insectocutor are changed on an annual basis and records of this are maintained
  • In the event of breakage of glass in storage, processing or packing areas, the production / packing / movement of material is immediately stopped.
  • All products in the immediate vicinity are identified, segregated and the area at risk is isolated / cordoned off with coloured tape.
  • Information about breakage of glass is given to Head Security / Head (Prod.).
  • No worker is allowed to roam near or around that area until all broken glass has been removed.
  • Any raw material, packaging, semi-finished or finished product, which is observed to be at risk of glass contamination is rejected and is handled as per procedure for Control of Non-Conforming Products
  • The broken glass pieces are collected and placed within a polythene bag and the entire cordoned area is cleaned with vacuum cleaner. Special care is taken to inspect and check that all food packaging contact surfaces are free from glass.
  • Cleaning operations are carried out under supervision. The cordoning area is cleared only after inspection and approval by manager (QA)
  • The waste is collected in Polythene Bags in a manner ensuring that it does not get scattered all over the factory. The glass collected in polythene bags is stored in a scrap yard and its disposition done in compliance with legislative requirements.
  • Cleaner’s shoes are inspected before leaving the area so as to preclude contamination of other areas with glass splinters.
  • Broken glass/ Acrylic are immediately replaced & respective functional Head maintains record.
